Accessibility Statement
The Quail Hollow Volunteer Association is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including visitors with disabilities.
Our Approach
We believe that heritage preservation belongs to everyone. That is why we design and maintain this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the Level AA standard. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more usable for everyone.
What We Do
- Maintain WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance for color contrast, text sizing, and navigability.
- Provide descriptive alt text for all informative images and empty alt attributes for decorative ones.
- Ensure all interactive elements are operable by keyboard with visible focus indicators.
- Use semantic HTML, proper heading structure, and ARIA attributes for state and labeling.
- Associate all form fields with labels and group related controls using fieldsets.
- Test pages with assistive technologies and automated accessibility tools on a regular basis.
Third-Party Content
Some features on our site may link to or display content from third parties such as social media platforms or mapping tools. While we strive to select accessible partners, we cannot fully control the accessibility of third-party content. If you encounter a barrier on such a feature, please let us know and we will work to provide the information in an accessible alternative format.
Feedback & Assistance
We are always working to improve. If you experience any difficulty accessing our website, have suggestions for improvement, or would like information in an alternative format, please contact us.
