The Quail Hollow Volunteer Association is always looking for new members and volunteers to use their skills to assist with a variety of activities. Some tasks can be done as a group, others as an individual, and a few can be done from the comfort of your own home.

Ways to Help
Fine Furnishings Committee
Select and purchase interior furniture and historic items for the manor house. Help stage the 40 rooms based on their original uses by the Stewart family. Funding comes from donations, members, sponsors, and fundraising events.

House Tour Docent
Take visitors on guided tours through the manor house, sharing the building's history, the Stewart family story, and the property's heritage. Work one Sunday per month or as your schedule permits. Tours run May through the 4th Sunday in September. Training provided.

Membership Committee
Work with the Chair to continually build our membership, volunteers, and friends of the association. New ideas are always welcome for reaching out to the public.

Marketing
For those with writing, graphic design, web, and social media skills. Volunteers help design flyers, posters, update our website, create email designs, and generate press releases.

Historic Garden Restoration
Help restore the original rock garden designed by Warren Manning, landscape architect for the Stewart family. Activities include digging, planting, moving materials, and mulching — a hands-on outdoor experience.

Events
Help plan and staff our major fundraising events, including our beloved holiday programs. Opportunities include planning, setup, greeting the public, and cleanup. Lots of fun for volunteers and attendees alike!

Mrs. Stewart's Neat & Tidy Team
For those who love to keep things neat, tidy, and clean — the Manor House is waiting for you! QHVA maintains select rooms in the home and provides all supplies and equipment. Team up with a buddy on a day and time that fits your schedule.
